GEOFF WATSON

Managing Director

Geoff Watson | Managing Director | Trackdown Studios

Geoff Watson is a founder and the CEO of Trackdown Digital, a position he has held for more than 30 years. He has seen Trackdown grow from a basement based 4-track recording studio into one of the finest film, audio and music production facilities in the world.

Starting out as a band manager, looking after acts from The Robertson Brothers (signed to BMG) and The Saints (signed to Mushroom), Geoff has extensive experience with the music business and music copyright. Over his career, he has had dealings with creators, artists, broadcasters, distributors and licensees worldwide on a regular basis, as well as with international co-production partners.

Previously, Geoff was the General Manager, then Managing Director of Flying Bark Productions (formerly Yoram Gross EMTV) for 8 years. He oversaw their transformation from a traditional animation studio into a multi-format production company. This included the production of over 200 hours of animation, children’s feature films, live action television and related web sites. Geoff was also the founder and Managing Director of Forest Interactive, a creative multimedia production company, now wholly owned by Studio 100 (Belgium/Germany).

Geoff recently produced the first season of “Tales of Aluna”, a 26 x quarter hr animated series based on a brilliant kids concept from the legendary singer/songwriter Donovan. He is currently producing several episode-based kids series in conjunction with Creata Entertainment, and has just completed work on a reboot of the hit interactive board game “Atmosfear”.
